Dentures/Partials
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available – complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
Denture Procedure:
At your first visit to the dentist, your gums and supporting bone structure will be examined to help your dentist determine the best treatment plan for you. Your dentist may also make a mold of your natural teeth and gums at this appointment to help in creating your custom denture. Dentist will take impressions and measurements of how your upper and lower jaws align. Then, they will make a model of the denture. You may have to go through a few partial denture adjustments to ensure that the prosthetic has the correct shape, color, and alignment.

Implant Overdentures
Implant Overdentures (also known as All-on 4) are dentures that are kept in place by attaching to dental implants. People who have enough bone to support dental implants but are missing all their teeth are usually good candidate for this treatment.
Once implants are secured into a person’s jawbone, the dentures are then attached to the implant. They can easily be removed, yet remain firmly in place while talking, chewing, and eating. They look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.
Are You a Good Candidate?
The ideal candidate for the All-on-4 dental implant procedure is someone who is missing most or all of their teeth or is currently wearing dentures. Age is not a limiting factor for All-on-4 dental implants as long the candidate is in good health.
