Dental Crown Procedure

  • Your dentist will need to prepare your tooth before a crown can be fitted.

    • First appointment—your dentist will examine your teeth, then reshape it to an appropriate size. Dental impressions will be taken, and a temporary crown will be fitted. The impressions will be sent to the lab for making the crown.
    • Second appointment— Your temporary crown will be removed, and the permanent crown will be fitted by your dentist. Your dentist will make sure that it matches your teeth color and will adjust the bite as needed.
